What Vowfield does

Vowfield is a free wedding-venue matching service for couples in the United States. We are not a wedding venue, caterer, or wedding planner, and we do not host weddings or set venue prices.

You share a few basics about your day — your names, phone number, optional email, preferred language, city or ZIP, rough date, rough guest count, and the kind of setting you want. Then we help connect you with participating venues near you to consider.

The two of you stay in control the whole time. You decide which places to talk to, which tours to take, and whether any venue feels right for your day.

How the matching process works

Getting started is simple on our get matched page. You do not need every detail figured out yet. A rough date, a starting guest count, and a general idea of your style are enough.

1. Tell us your wedding basics and how to reach you.
2. We use that information to identify participating venues near your preferred area that may fit your day.
3. Venues may reach out so you can ask questions, check availability, and schedule tours.
4. You compare your options, confirm the real total cost and details in writing, and choose the venue you want.

If you are planning from another city, another state, or another country, that is okay. We are built to help couples who need a simpler way to start, including couples who prefer reading in a language other than English.

What information you share

We keep it straightforward. We collect contact details and wedding intent only: names, phone number, optional email, preferred language, desired setting, city or ZIP, rough wedding date, and rough guest count.

We do not ask for bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, immigration documents, income details, or other sensitive personal records.

If you are still deciding between a garden, ballroom, vineyard, beach, estate, or barn, that is fine too. Your answers only need to be good enough to start the conversation.

What venues usually cost

Wedding venue prices vary a lot by city, season, day of week, guest count, and what is included. As a very general starting point, some smaller or simpler venue rentals may begin around $2,000 to $8,000, while many full-service weddings land much higher once food, drinks, rentals, staffing, and fees are added. In many areas, couples may see totals from about $8,000 to $30,000+ for the venue portion of the celebration, and luxury markets can go beyond that. These are not quotes.

What changes the number most: a Saturday in peak season usually costs more than a weekday or Sunday; 180 guests usually costs more than 60; and an all-inclusive package can look higher upfront than a space-only rental because more is bundled in.

As you compare venues, ask about the full picture: site fee, food-and-beverage minimum, per-plate pricing, service charge, deposit, overtime, cancellation terms, vendor restrictions, and corkage. Before you pay a deposit or sign anything, confirm the date and pricing in writing and read the full contract carefully. This is general information only, not legal or financial advice.

When a venue looks beautiful online, the next step is to understand how it works for your actual guest list and budget. A lower site fee does not always mean a lower total, especially if you need to bring in tables, chairs, catering, lighting, or cleanup separately.
